The 2026 LBHA conference is scheduled to be held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Sheridan, WY June 18-20, 2026. This will be the 52nd annual LBHA conference and we will recognize the 150th anniversary of the Battle of the Little Bighorn which will occur June 25, 2026.
The conference will include an optional tour on June 18 to the Little Bighorn Battlefield. The tour will be limited to one bus and will be led by Jim Hessler.
On June 19 all conference registrants will be taking a tour that includes the Reno Creek area. The tour will include a distant view of the Crow’s Nest and the divide between the Rosebud and Little Bighorn valley’s. On the return down Reno Creek road we will view the sites of the lone teepee, Gerard knoll, the morass, and the Reno Crossing site.
We will then cross over Interstate 90 and go top the area where the Indian horse herd was located. From there we will view the area of the Reno skirmish line. From there we will go to the Willie Bends place which is the site of the much talked about Ford D where Custer and a couple of companies may have attempted to capture Indian non-combatants. We will then go to the battlefield, have a box lunch and a little time to explore Last Stand Hill and the Custer National Cemetery before returning to the hotel in Sheridan.
More detailed information and a registration form will be included in the December LBHA Newsletter. You must be an LBHA member to register.
